For a generative video project, start with the shot: reference image, intended motion, duration and dimensions. Lock these in before you start varying the model settings. Prepare a test clip containing the subject and the main visual challenge, such as a camera move or a material transformation.
This work lets you evaluate the card with your actual workflow. Generating a simple clip does not guarantee how a longer shot or a scene with more references will behave.
80 GB of capacity to allocate across the workflow
The models and intermediate data share the memory envelope. Keep some headroom for the steps that come after generation, especially decoding and output transforms. Document the precision you use: a change of numeric format can also change the results or compatibility.
Multiple batches mean multiple GPUs. Their memory does not automatically become one single space for a graph. Check whether your software actually distributes the model or whether you need to organize independent tasks.
SXM, PCIe and the creative environment
The H100 SXM and the H100 PCIe in the catalog each have 80 GB, but they are distinct configurations. Don't assume the same throughput from the H100 name or from identical capacity. Compare them using a prepared workload and the characteristics that matter to your project.
In ComfyUI, validate the PyTorch components and the required nodes. For a Blender render that fits in 48 GB, also look at the L40S or the RTX 6000 Ada. If the project exceeds 80 GB on a single card, the H200 offers 141 GB of capacity.
Ordering with a spec sheet for each shot
Prepare the shots as spec sheets: visual reference, motion, dimensions, frame count and output file name. Test the shot with the biggest challenge, then add selection and corrections to the measured time to determine your 3, 7 or 30-day rental.
In the order, confirm the H100 SXM variant and the batch count; don't infer them from the H100 name alone. Save the requested details before choosing crypto payment. For each shot you keep, archive its settings, input and result together so you can compare retakes against a stable reference.
